For this project, custom details really made the space special. I used a mix of new pieces and vintage custom items for a fresh take on traditional.

 

Handy clients make my job easier! This client was very involved in the customization of focal pieces in this space - he added his own flair for woodworking to the coffee table. He cut the base of a vintage dining table and painted it with a distressed finish.

 

Chairs that were particularly meaningful to the client were reupholstered in a solid navy to accent the statement drapes and fun petal shaped ottoman.The dining table was another custom piece that was made locally with a cast iron table base and reclaimed wood. The natural materials balance the pop of color in the patterned rug.
