Lutherville Upscale Downsize
Thoughtful design solutions for a retired couple's new home
My clients had long roots in Baltimore and after retiring they wanted to downsize and move from a traditional space to a transitional one without compromising on design. Their children bought their old home and with them close-by they knew they needed a space that was a fresh, clean take on their style as well as functional for them and their family.
This was one of my favorite projects as my clients were open to anything and allowed me room to run! For color they wanted an ocean palette with blues, whites & sea foam green. I was also tasked with incorporating some traditional elements from their old home into the design. These family heirlooms like the dining room China Cabinet, look timeless in the new space.
My favorite room was the library - its cozy and fun and the blue custom built-ins make all of their treasures pop. I loved giving them a light and bright space where they can start this new chapter of life.
On our first visit with Meghan Friedman of Redhead Design we felt we had found the right person for our project design. As we discussed our ideas with Meghan we realized that she offered the right combination of a good listener and also someone who brought fresh ideas to the table. Our new home is just right and our family, friends and new neighbors agree.
